During summer, the spot where I stood would be completely underwater as the river continues its relentless work of sculpting the canyon walls. Winter briefly changes everything.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eAs the river freezes over, the cave becomes accessible, revealing a frozen waterfall surrounded by towering walls of ice and rock. Water still races unseen beneath the frozen surface, reminding you that this landscape is very much alive despite its silent appearance.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe moment I saw this scene, I knew it belonged in black and white. Removing colour allowed the textures, light and natural architecture of the cave to become the true subject.
